David Sands, Justin Bonomo, Jake Schindler e tre membri del WPT Champions come J.C. Tran, Tommy Vedes e Taylor Paul. Sono i principali protagonisti tra i 19 players in gioco al day5 del WPT Five Diamond Classic da 791 entries e 7,6 milioni di dollari di montepremi. Il chip leader, però, è Ryan Tosoc che ha accumulato un super stack da 3.492.000 chips, 146 bb ed è stato sorteggiato al tavolo con James Romero che ha oltre 2 milioni di gettoni.
Sta facendo notizia la qualifica di Richard Seymour, ex giocatore NFL con 3 anelli Super Bowl all’attivo e, adesso, anche 5 piazzamenti a premio al Wpt. E’ allo stesso tavolo dei due leader del count con 23bb e può ancora dire la sua anche se è uno dei più short e dovrà affrontare anche un certo Jake Schindler con 1,3 milioni circa davanti a se.
David Sands di chips ne ha 562.000 ma ha un tavolo decisamente più abbordabile.
All’altro tavolo una bella sfida si profila tra Justin Bonomo e JC Tran che hanno rispettivamente 2,7 milioni e 1,8 milioni di chips. Tra loro proverà a fare il terzo in comodo Stephen Graner che ha 1,6 milioni davanti.
I presupposti per un grande finale ci sono tutti anche perché la prima moneta vale quasi 2 milioni di dollari grazie al record di iscritti che ha eguagliato i numeri del Wpt L.A. Poker Classic del 2007: un bel segnale per il poker che dopo 9 anni tornino numeri così incredibili.
