Un crollo finale, bolla evitata ma Dario Sammartino “scoppia” quella del Day3 uscendo 40esimo dall’evento # 45: $ 25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller per 37.635 $. Peccato per il pro napoletano che non è riuscito a mantenere lo standard del Day1 che l’aveva portato tra i primissimi del count. Del resto il field si è esteso a 278 entries in soli due livelli del Day2 frantumando qualsiasi tipo di record per questo high roller che è uno dei tornei più importanti (per buy in, field e struttura) della 50esima edizione delle World Series of Poker.
Nulla da fare, quindi, per super Dario che è dovuto uscire nelle 4 mani finali di giornata. A bustarlo è stato Matt Giannetti: AQ10X contro AK97 di Giannetti (come riporta il blog Wsop) su board 8-6-4-10-J.
Peccato ma, intanto, arriva un altro itm con un po’ di profit e non sono assolutamente da buttare via.
Super chip leading, intanto, per Anson Tsang, che imbusta ben 4,7 milioni di gettoni cresciuti proprio in zona bolla dopo aver eliminato Dominykas Karmazinas e volando nel count e a premi.
Molto vicino a Tsang c'è James Chen ed è la classica performance perfetta che, però, viene quasi vanificata dal boom di Tsang. Comunque conta come si arriverà alla fine del torneo, non adesso. Solo 39 giocatori rimangono dei 278 partecipanti.
Può comunque scapparci il vip come winner di questo super high roller Plo. In gioco ci sono Alex Epstein (2.450.000), che ha vinto il primo Short Deck Wsop da $ 10.000, Firas Sadou (2.430.000) e Robert Mizrachi (2.245.000). Questi sono gli unici giocatori sopra ai 2.000.000 di chips.
Volano al Day3 anche gli ex vincitori del braccialetto Erik Seidel (1.535.000), Paul Volpe (905.000), Justin Bonomo (815.000), Matthew Schreiber (700.000), Ryan Laplante (485.000), Ryan Tosoc (365.000), Michael Drummond (185.000) ed ex campione del Main Event Joe Hachem (215.000).
Tsang ha vinto il suo primo braccialetto Wsop l'anno scorso in Repubblica Ceca, vincendo l'Event # 7: € 2200 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed a Rozvadov per € 91,730. Ha anche centrato un decimo posto nel $ 10,000 PLO-8 Championship la scorsa estate e anche un terzo posto nel primo $ 10,000 Short Deck Championship per $ 130,482.
In tanti hanno sfruttato la late reg come Daniel Negreanu, Craig Varnell, Cary Katz, Norbert Szecsi, Bryn Kenney, Kahle Burns, Brian Rast, Stephen Chidwick e Daniel Alaei.
Ad uscire con Sammartino ma a premio ci sono Toby Lewis (42 °) e Sebastian Bastian (41 °).
