Il field si è fermato a 272 giocatori e, attualmente, mancano tre milioni di dollari per coprire il garantito da 10 milioni. Stavolta è davvero dura anche se ci si può iscrivere entro i primi livelli del Day2. Intanto, però, i nostri ci sono e "tankanza" e il finalista IPO Sanremo sono messi anche bene. Musta può risorgere, è nelle sue corde.
Ecco il racconto di Giuseppe Carbone: "Al primo livello sono subito salito a 2,5 milioni. Su un mio 3bettato il "bulletto" del tavolo mi ha 4bet shovato da utg con Q10s a picche. Io gioco con KK da small blind. Flop monotone a picche e io non ho neanche il K di picche. Scende a 400mila e da lì, però, ho cambiato marcia e ho iniziato a giocare spingendo tantissimo fino a chiudere a 2 milioni e mezzo. Il field è di altissimo livello e sono veramente contento di com'è andata. Intanto noi italiani ci siamo e tanti ottimi players sono usciti dopo un Day1 durissimo"
Al comando ha chiuso l'americano Gabriel Andrade con 6.655.000 in chips. Vive a Houston, in Texas, e ha accumulato oltre $ 300.000 in carriera, con il best live cash che è il 271esimo posto al Main Event delle WSOP 2019 per $ 43.935 in denaro. Andrade ha superato il francese Pierre Calamusa che ha chiuso con 5,8 milioni di chips nel Day1A ed è sua la chip leading del Day2.
Sulla scia di Andrade ci sono Norbert Szecsi (5.500.000), Jorryt van Hoof (4.775.000), il pro professionista Philipp Gruissem (4.585.000), Rafael Jarufe (4.420.000) e Florian Lohnert (4.200.000) gli unici giocatori oltre i 4 milioni di chip.
Sopravvissuti al Day 2 sono anche i professionisti della room che organizza l'evento Ludovic Geilich (2.260.000), Carl Froch (1.855.000), Bertrand Grospellier (1.730.000), Josip Simunic (1.300.000), Kristin Bicknell (1.270.000), Renato Nomura (1.255.000), Roberto Romanello (1.200.000) e Marcel Luske (895.000).
Ai 695 buy in vanno aggiunti i 71 dei flight online e quelli che si iscriveranno al Day2, come detto. Dal web arrivano players del calibro di Nino Ullman ha terminato il ruolo di chip leader con 16.467.791 in chips ed è seguito da Nick Marchington (8,7 milioni), Stefan Schillhabel (5,1 milioni) e Thomas Boivin (1,2 milioni).
