Dario Sammartino esce senza cash dall’high roller da 50.000 dollari, si siede all'Event #40 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. e imbusta 173.500 chips per il Day2. Insieme a lui, al grande ritorno ad un championship, c’è Max Pescatori che di gettoni ne porterà in dote 125.500 e che si è già “scaldato” a dovere col primo cash alle Wsop di quest’anno centrato proprio nell’H.O.R.S.E. da 1.500 dollari per oltre 15mila bigliettoni di premio.

E si preannuncia un gran field con un outsider in vetta, però: sì perché Qinghai Pan ha superato tutti negli ultimi due livelli della notte chiudendo a quota 373.000 chips.

Molti altri erano in lizza per la chip lead prima che Pan superasse il field tra cui Scott Seiver (261.000), Andrew Yeh (229.500), Randy Ohel (219.500), David Benyamine (219.000) e Brett Richey (215.000).

Pan ha iniziato la sua corsa verso la vetta all'inizio della giornata eliminando Daniel Negreanu in una mano di Razz. Cercherà di migliorare il suo recente 7° posto nella versione da $3.000 di questa disciplina nell'Event #32.

L'evento, intanto, ha attirato 139 iscrizioni attraverso i primi 10 livelli di gioco, con 71 sopravvissuti e la registrazione tardiva ancora aperta fino al Day 2.

Il field già bello pregno potrebbe essere impreziosito da Adam Friedman e Phil Hellmuth che hanno visto prolungarsi la super sfida in heads up per la conquista dell'Event #36 $10,000 Dealer's Choice, con la tripletta del primo che ha sconfitto il secondo fermato sul più bello mentre cercava di mettersi al polso il 17esimo braccialetto in carriera.

In gioco il player of the year dell'anno Wsop 2019 Robert Campbell (181.500), Scott Bohlman (180.000), Yuri Dzivielevski (100.000) e il campione in carica Greg Mueller (30.500) tra i sopravvissuti.

Altri top player come Eli Elezra, Daniel Negreanu, Brian Rast, Matt Glantz, David "ODB", Baker e David "Bakes" Baker non sono stati altrettanto fortunati.

Si riprende alle ore italiane 23 al livello 11, che viene fornito con limiti di 4.000 e 8.000. I livelli passano anche da 60 minuti a 90 e i giocatori faranno una pausa cena di 60 minuti dopo il livello 14.
